Simona Pironti

Simona works at Chiesi Group, an Italian pharmaceutical company based in Parma (Italy), with almost 85 years of history of commitment to research and innovation in the fields of respiratory health, neonatology and rare diseases. Since 2020, she has been working in the Shared Value and Sustainability (SV&S) department, specifically with a focus on the activities that as team we coordinate to support the Local Community in Parma. The main objective of Chiesi SV&S department is to determine a positive impact of the company on the society and the environment, by assessing the social and environmental performance and by monitoring the implementation of improvement actions. The SV&S team played a pivotal role enabling Chiesi to become the largest global pharmaceutical group certified Benefit Corporation in 2019 and to obtain the re-certification in 2022. Simona attended the Bologna University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Political, Social and International Science and a Master in Business Management – Green Management and Sustainable Businesses.
